The Pain Management Plan was designed to be ‘facilitated’ by a healthcare worker who has received brief training – one day for those experienced in cognitive behavioural pain management; two days for those needing to learn more about pain management.
Participants come to understand the methods the PMP uses to achieve its aims, knowing this is great help when using it with patients.
The training is delivered by the team who developed and evaluated the PMP, all of whom have many years of experience in Pain Management in the NHS.
They will be happy to advise on how best to fit the PMP to the challenges in your service – challenges they know only too well from personal experience. Regular training sessions are organised around the country and bespoke onsite training is also possible.
